EMS 2012 ranks Lufthansa Magazine number one in Germany for readership per issue, not only among inflight magazines, but also beating out Time Magazine Europe, Newsweek and The Economist.
Lufthansa is ranked second after Time Magazine Europe, and ahead of the Economist and Newsweek in terms of total European readership per issue. Among high income readers in Europe (more than 100,000 euros per year), Lufthansa again ranks number one ahead of The Economist, Time Magazine Europe, and Business Life, respectively.
The EMS survey offers an in-depth view of media usage among Europe's affluent target groups. It is the first annual survey in Europe to to measure both international media and national media, TV, print and websites. EMS covers the top 20% of households in terms of income in each of the 21 survey countries in Europe, and includes nearly 400 national and international print titles, 150 national and international TV channels and over 60 local and international websites. Within the EMS universe, EMS Select covers households with incomes in the top 3%.
